Brave woman of Azerbaijan: Valesheva Elvina

One of the most special guests of the Ethnosports Festival was Valesheva Elvina, one of the two female riders of the Karabakh Equestrian Performance Team. Her job is risky, but her greatest pride is to fly the Azerbaijani flag.

Organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation, the 5th Ethnosport Festival continues at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, TRT Haber reports.

More than 5 thousand athletes from 56 countries participate in the festival.

One of the most special guests of the festival, which was held with the aim of not forgetting or bringing to light traditional sports, is the Karabakh Horse Show Team from the sister country Azerbaijan.

The performance of the team at the festival was applauded by the audience for several minutes.

Let's host Turkey

Valesheva Elvina, who is aware of the danger of her job, explains the reason why she took such a risk, saying, “The horse is my heart”. The motivation of his work is love.

“Of course it's an animal after all. Anything can happen at any moment. Every moment is risky, but we take that risk. We take pride in the work we do. It is a special honor to perform in front of the Turkish audience. We are very happy that Turkey hosted us. We would like to host Turkey in festivals like this one.”
