Brazil condemns US strike on Iran, urges restraint and peace

On February 28, the government of Brazil officially condemned the United States military strike on Iran, describing it as a move that exacerbates instability in the Middle East and poses a threat to regional peace.

Citing the country’s Foreign Ministry, O Globo reported that the attacks occurred amid ongoing negotiations, which Brazil views as “the only viable path to peace.”

The ministry emphasised the need for all parties to exercise maximum restraint, uphold international law, and ensure the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.

Brazilian embassies in the region are actively monitoring the situation, focusing on the safety and well-being of local communities. Citizens of Brazil located in the affected countries have been advised to follow local security instructions and take appropriate precautions.
