Britain’s royal line expands with Princess Eugenie’s newborn daughter

Princess Eugenie, the niece of King Charles III and younger daughter of Prince Andrew, has given birth to her third child.

According to the Daily Mail, the baby girl was born at 6:20 p.m. on August 3 at a hospital in Lisbon. Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, announced the birth in a social media post.

“Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie,” the couple said.

The newborn's name has not yet been revealed. She is the couple's third child, joining five-year-old August and three-year-old Ernest.

The baby girl is now 15th in the line of succession to the British throne, moving Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, to 16th place.

Buckingham Palace also welcomed the newest member of the royal family in a congratulatory message.
