British ambassador to Ukraine concludes mission PHOTO
The British Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, has announced that he is concluding his tenure.
Harris announced the news on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
“It has been an honour to serve as British Ambassador to Ukraine. I leave with a strong 100 year partnership in place between our two countries, ranging from battlefield technology, to humanitarian, energy and economic recovery projects, to school partnerships,” Harris wrote.

Martin Fergus Harris, born May 17, 1969, in Edinburgh, served as British Ambassador to Ukraine from September 2023. A career diplomat, he joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1991 after studying history at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
His diplomatic roles include Second Secretary at the UK Delegation to the OSCE in Vienna (1992–1996), leading the FCO’s Pakistan and Afghanistan Section (1997–1998), and managing the UK’s technical assistance program in Moscow (1999–2003).
Harris was Consul General and Deputy Head of Mission in Kyiv (2003–2008), Ambassador to Romania (2010–2014), and Deputy Head of Mission in Moscow (2014–2017). He also served as Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the FCDO (2017–2022).
