Budapest opens doors for Ukraine conflict negotiations

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced that Budapest is prepared to organize a peace summit aimed at resolving the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The minister shared the statement on his Facebook page, Caliber.Az reports.

Szijjártó underscored that Hungary is the only European nation that has consistently supported US President Donald Trump’s peace initiatives for Ukraine since their inception.

“We have not supplied weapons, have maintained open diplomatic channels, and are ready to host a peace summit,” he wrote, highlighting Hungary’s commitment to diplomatic engagement over military involvement.
