Bundestag votes against Taurus delivery to Ukraine

The Bundestag voted on February against a motion from the Union parliamentary group that called on the federal government to deliver Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.

The federal government has so far resisted supplying longer-range weapons. 480 MPs voted against the Union motion, 182 for it. Five politicians abstained, TASS reports.

On February 21, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said that Chancellor Olaf Scholz still supports the resolution calling for the transfer of long-range weapons to Ukraine.
