In keeping with the requirements of the German army, the delivery of 168-wheeled 155-mm howitzers is expected.
The RCH-155 (Remote Controlled Howitzer 155) system is a long-proposed KMW automated turret artillery module AGM mounted on the chassis of a wheeled armored personnel carrier GTK Boxer (8x8) with the artillery part of the German 155-mm/52 self-propelled howitzer PzH 2000, with a firing range of up to 54 kilometers with high-precision V-LAP projectiles at a speed of nine rounds per minute.
The AGM module is unmanned, so the crew of the RCH-155 installation is only two people. The RCH-155 combat weight is 39 tons, with the AGM module weighing 12.5 tons. Mobility is approximately the same as the Boxer armored personnel carrier, while the vehicle is equipped with a more powerful MTU diesel engine of 815 hp than on the base Boxer armored personnel carrier (710 hp). The AGM module's ammunition load consists of 30 shells and 144 modular charges.
