Car crashes into White House security gate, driver arrested PHOTO

In the US, a car crashed into the security gate at a White House entrance late on October 21.

Immediately following the accident, the driver of the car was arrested by officers from the US Secret Service’s uniformed division and taken into custody, authorities said, The New York Post reports.

Investigators searched his car and deemed it to be safe, Secret Service officials said in a statement.

Authorities did not immediately provide any additional information about the crash, the driver’s identity or any potential motivation.
