Car explosion in Odesa targets former Ukrainian colonel VIDEO

A car belonging to a 56-year-old former colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed in an explosion in Odesa, local media report.

The incident occurred as the vehicle’s alarm system was activated, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

The man survived and was hospitalised, though details of his injuries have not been disclosed. Authorities have not yet determined the motives or target of the attack, and an investigation is ongoing.

Earlier reports confirmed that police were on the scene following the blast. No official comments have been released.

The incident follows a similar attack on February 6 in Odesa, when another vehicle exploded, resulting in the death of a service member.
