Two people have been injured after a car exploded in a parking area in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, police have stated.

The explosion occurred at around 7:30 a.m. in the Sobornyi district, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Dnipropetrovsk regional police.

It said prosecutors, law enforcement officers and explosives experts are working at the scene.

“An inspection of the site is underway, and all circumstances are being established. A criminal investigation has been launched under the article on a terrorist act (Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the police noted.
