Car explosion in Ukraine's Odesa kills 21-year-old man
A car explosion in the Ukrainian city of Odesa has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man, police said on February 5.
According to information cited by RBC-Ukraine, authorities received an emergency call to the 102 hotline on the morning of February 6 reporting that a Toyota vehicle had exploded on Akademik Korolev Street.
Preliminary findings indicate that the man who was killed was the owner of the vehicle.
Law enforcement officials said the scene is being examined by operational units, investigators, and forensic specialists equipped with a mobile laboratory. Bomb disposal experts and canine teams from the regional police have also been deployed.
The legal classification of the incident will be determined once all circumstances surrounding the explosion are fully clarified.
