Car explosion in Yevlakh injures two, authorities investigate gas cylinder fire PHOTO

Two people were injured in a car explosion in the Azerbaijani city of Yevlakh.

The incident took place near the premises of a former wool processing plant, where a Mitsubishi vehicle caught fire due to the ignition of a gas cylinder located in its trunk. The resulting explosion rendered the car completely inoperable, Caliber.Az reports, citing the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the two injured individuals were transported to hospital with burn injuries. Their current condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the explosion.
