14 May 2026 17:54
The U.S. military said on Wednesday (May 14) that its forces have redirected 70 commercial vessels and disabled 4 others as part of ongoing maritime enforcement operations in the Arabian Sea, according to a post by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on X.
CENTCOM said a MH-60 Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 50 landed on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG-103) while the ship was transiting the Arabian Sea and supporting what it described as enforcement operations linked to restrictions on maritime traffic involving Iran.
“As of today, CENTCOM forces have redirected 70 commercial vessels and disabled 4 to ensure compliance,” the command said in its post.
