Champions League: Qarabağ FK fails to qualify for group stage

The Czech FC Viktoria Plzeň and Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ FK have played the return leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round.

The game, which was held at the Dusan Arena on August 23, ended in a 2:1 victory of Viktoria Plzeň, Caliber.Az informs.

The first game of the tie in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku between the two clubs on August 17 ended in a goalless draw.

The Czech booked a UEFA Champions League group stage ticket as a result of two games. Qarabağ FK will continue its European journey in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League, the second-best European club-level football tournament.
