Chaos at Bernabéu: Real Madrid fans call for President Pérez to resign

Real Madrid fans have called for the resignation of club president Florentino Pérez following a defeat to Getafe in the 26th round of the Spanish league, according to Marca. 

Supporters in the stands at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium shouted “Florentino – resign!” after the final whistle.

Pérez has led the club since 2000, though he stepped down in 2006 after a series of disappointing results, returning to the post in 2009. 

Under his leadership, Real has won seven La Liga titles, eight UEFA Champions League trophies (2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2024), six UEFA Super Cups, three Copa del Rey titles, seven Spanish Super Cups, and five FIFA Club World Cups.
