Charles de Gaulle's grandson wants Russian passport

Pierre de Gaulle, grandson of former French President Charles de Gaulle, has said he wants to obtain a Russian passport, with the decision resting with Russia's president.

De Gaulle said he was “looking forward to the opportunity to settle in Russia with his family and children” and was working to strengthen ties between France and Russia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Charles de Gaulle was a French general and statesman who led the Free France movement during the Second World War and served as president from 1959 to 1969.
