Chechen leader’s son becomes minister

Eldest son of leader of Russia’s Chechen Republic Akhmad Kadyrov has been appointed minister of youth.

Chairman of the Chechen Parliament Magomed Daudov awarded Kadyrov with the Order of Kadyrov, the highest award of the Chechen Republic, Vesti.ru reports.

Daudov noted that Kadyrov makes a great contribution to the development of youth organisations, supports the younger generation and actively participates in the regional events, responsibly fulfilling any tasks.

Kadyrov previously served as First Deputy Minister of Chechnya for Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy.
