Children among victims of latest Russian attacks in Ukraine's Kherson
Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Kherson region over the past 24 hours have left one person dead and 15 others injured, including two children, regional authorities said.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said Russian forces carried out drone, air and artillery strikes on dozens of settlements across the region.
Among the areas targeted were Kherson, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Antonivka and Stanislav, according to local officials.
The shelling damaged 16 apartment buildings and eight private homes, as well as an administrative building, a banking institution, a catering facility, a gas pipeline, utility structures, agricultural machinery and vehicles.
Authorities also reported that 10 people were evacuated from the region during the same period as emergency services continued response and recovery operations.
