China criticizes US Pentagon's nuclear strategy as "outdated thinking"

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized the Pentagon’s acknowledgment of the potential for nuclear conflict, while the US continues to maintain its nuclear capabilities, labelling the views of US leadership on the issue as outdated.

In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized that the comments from US officials reflect “outdated thinking” from a nation pursuing hegemony and absolute strategic superiority, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.

Earlier, the US National Security Council acknowledged that Washington would be unable to reach new disarmament agreements in the near future, pointing to the complex geopolitical situation and a lack of political will among nuclear powers as the key obstacles.
