China, European Union agree to stabilise trade and economic ties

China and the EU have agreed to focus on delivering practical results within the framework of their existing mechanism following talks in Brussels, as well as on stabilising bilateral trade and economic relations and ensuring their further sustainable development.
A meeting was held at the EU headquarters between China’s Deputy Minister of Commerce Ling Ji and Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade and Economic Security.
The sides also discussed preparations for the first session of the China–EU Consultation Mechanism on Trade and Investment.
