Gharibabadi, in turn, emphasized Tehran’s strategic perspective on its relationship with China and expressed appreciation for China’s diplomatic role in facilitating discussions on the Iranian nuclear issue. Both sides reiterated their shared interest in promoting regional stability and advancing political solutions through dialogue.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, responding to media inquiries on March 13, stated that China remains committed to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a signatory to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Beijing continues to advocate for the preservation of the international nuclear non-proliferation regime and the promotion of peace in the Middle East.
The Beijing meeting is seen as China’s latest diplomatic initiative aimed at enhancing communication and coordination on the Iranian nuclear issue while creating conditions for the resumption of broader negotiations.
