China imposes sanctions on four US firms for arms sales to Taiwan
China’s Ministry of Commerce has announced that four US companies have been added to China’s list of unreliable entities for selling arms to Taiwan.
Among those companies are AEVEX Aerospace, Summit Technologies Inc, Pacific Rim Defense, and LKD Aerospace, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Earlier in January, China imposed a ban on the export of dual-use products to nearly 30 US defence companies, with ten of them being labeled as unreliable by Beijing.
This move by Chinese authorities was aimed at safeguarding China’s national security, as these companies were also involved in selling arms to Taiwan.
In December 2024, similar sanctions were imposed on the US companies including Aerkomm, Hudson Technologies, Insitu, Oceaneering International, Raytheon Australia, Raytheon Canada, and Saronic Technologies.
The US Ambassador to China spoke about a tense moment between Beijing and Washington.
