China reiterates call for citizens to avoid Iran

China has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible or relocate to safer areas, citing persistent security risks, according to Iran International.

In a statement, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the situation in Iran remains “complex and unstable,” despite the partial reopening of the country’s airspace. The ministry advised Chinese nationals still in Iran to avoid strategically important locations and to take additional safety precautions.

Authorities also reiterated their warning against travel to Iran under current conditions, emphasising that Chinese citizens should not visit the country at this time.
