China remains global car sales leader

Russia’s Autostat Analytical Agency has announced that China remained the world leader in car sales in November 2023 with a record figure of 2,935,000 cars.
In total, 8,031,000 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold worldwide in November, Russia's Autostat Analytic Agency reports citing LMC Automotive consulting company.
Some 1,227,000 cars were sold in November in the US while 1,105,000 cars were sold in the car markets of Western Europe.
Around 359,100 cars were sold in Eastern European countries. Car dealers sold 235,400 cars in South America.
The world's biggest car markets are in Japan (408,100 cars), in Korea (157,600 cars) and Canada (137,700 cars).
