China’s trade with Belt and Road countries tops $2.68 trillion

07 November 2025 20:37

Trade between China and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) reached more than $2.689 trillion in the first ten months of 2025, marking a 5 per cent year-on-year increase, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China.

The figures show that China’s exports to BRI partner countries rose sharply by 10.5 per cent compared with the same period last year, totaling over $1.554 trillion. Meanwhile, imports from these nations edged down by 1.6 per cent, amounting to around $1.135 trillion, Caliber.Az reports per Chinese media.

Analysts say the sustained growth in trade underscores the continued expansion of economic ties between China and participating BRI economies, despite global trade uncertainties.

Launched in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative aims to enhance connectivity and cooperation across Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond through infrastructure investment, trade, and development partnerships.
