At least eight people have been killed and one injured after a fire broke out at a textile factory in southern China, authorities said.

The fire occurred at around 3 p.m. local time (07:00 GMT) on September 20 in Foshan, Guangdong province, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

Rescue operations were underway, while further details about the cause of the fire and the circumstances of the incident were not immediately available.
