China, UAE to hold joint air force training

China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to hold joint air force training in northwest China, the Chinese Ministry of National Defence has said.

The “Falcon Shield 2026” exercise will take place in Hotan, in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, from late August to mid-September, Caliber.Az reports, citing Chinese media.

The training will include command simulations, flight exercises and live-force drills involving mixed formations, according to the ministry.

It will be the fourth joint exercise under the “Falcon Shield” series and is intended to improve the tactical capabilities of the participating units while strengthening military ties and practical cooperation between China and the UAE.
