China urges countries to resolve differences through dialogue
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that the countries should resolve differences through a dialogue and at the same time take seriously the security concerns of one side or another.
The minister made the remarks at the UN General Assembly on September 24, Interfax reports.
"Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed a global security initiative. He called on the international community to strive for common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, to take seriously the security concerns of all countries to peacefully resolve disputes through a dialogue," he said.
"Of course, countries may have their own differences and problems. Countries should improve mutual understanding based on the principles of equality and respect," the foreign minister said.
