China vows retaliatory measures as EU launches investigations into its companies
China has warned it will take countermeasures in response to a series of European Union investigations targeting its corporations, emphasizing its readiness to protect the interests of Chinese enterprises.
He Yadong, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce, said the EU’s actions involve anti-subsidy investigations conducted under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The intensified scrutiny has focused on companies including CRRC, Nuctech, and several Chinese digital platforms. He characterized the investigations as “outrageous,” criticizing them for exhibiting “obvious bias and discriminatory nature.”
He Yadong stressed that Beijing is closely monitoring developments and is prepared to act decisively. “The Chinese side is closely following the relevant actions of the European side and will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises,” he said.
