China vows to lead efforts towards Ukraine peace talks

China welcomes efforts to create conditions for de-escalation in Ukraine and will persist in its efforts to promote peaceful dialogue, according to Mao Ning, the official spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mao Ning emphasized that China is encouraged to see various parties playing constructive roles in fostering conditions for easing tensions and pursuing a political resolution to the crisis, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

"China is pleased to observe constructive engagement from all sides, contributing to de-escalation and paving the way for a political settlement of the crisis. We will continue to facilitate peaceful dialogue and are prepared to maintain contact with all relevant parties on this matter," the spokesperson stated.

She further underlined that China has always considered dialogue and negotiations as the sole realistic solution to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
