Chinese cement giant to train specialists in Uzbekistan
CONCH Cement, one of China’s largest industrial companies, will begin training its specialists in Uzbekistan at the Almalyk State Technical Institute, Uzbek media report.
The move follows the signing of a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between the institute and the company, Caliber.Az reports via Uzbek media.
The deal provides for the exchange of expertise in production, education, and research, as well as joint projects in mining, electromechanics and the integration of innovative technologies into the curriculum with input from Chinese scientists.
Under the agreement, the parties will also focus on staff development, preparing specialists for CONCH Cement’s divisions, conducting joint research and experimental design work, and organising internships abroad for students and faculty.
The initiative aims to establish a world-class engineering school within the institute, specialising in geology, metallurgy, and engineering.
