Chinese foreign minister condemns US military operation against Venezuela
China has criticised the US military operation against Venezuela, condemning Washington’s actions and warning against the use of force in international relations.
Speaking on the matter, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that no country should act as an “international police officer,” according to RIA Novosti. He also rejected the notion that any state has the right to assume the role of an “international judge,” in reference to the US attack on Caracas.
Wang Yi noted that the global situation is becoming increasingly complex and unstable, stressing that the sovereignty and security of all countries must be fully protected under international law.
“We consistently oppose the use or threat of force in international relations and oppose the imposition of one country’s will on another,” the Chinese foreign minister said.
