Chinese leader: Beijing opposes interference in internal affairs of Belarus
Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that Beijing opposes interference in the internal affairs of Belarus by any external forces.
He made the remarks at a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Xinhua agency reports.
Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping are holding a meeting in China on November 4 at the Diaoyutai government residence.
According to the agency, Xi Jinping noted that China has always viewed Sino-Belarusian relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, firmly supports the development path of Belarus that corresponds to its national conditions, and opposes the interference of external forces in the internal affairs of Belarus.
According to the Chinese leader, China is willing to continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with Belarus, promote practical cooperation, and continue to deepen China-Belarus relations.
Before this, it was reported that Lukashenko, during a meeting with Xi Jinping, said that the historical increase in the level of relations between Minsk and Beijing gave a powerful impetus to the deepening of traditional directions, as well as the start of new vectors and mechanisms of their cooperation.
