Chinese naval fleet to visit Vietnam on goodwill mission

A fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy will visit Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City in early July at the invitation of the Vietnamese Navy, China's Ministry of National Defence announced on July 4.

The visiting flotilla will comprise the naval vessels Qijiguang and Kunlunshan, according to the ministry, Caliber.Az reports per Chinese media. 

The visit is part of military-to-military exchanges between China and Vietnam and is expected to include goodwill activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two navies.
