Chinese satellite company said to provide images to Wagner

China's blacklisted satellite company Spacety has been providing aerial images to the Russian mercenary Wagner Group, according to a US official.

Daniel Kritenbrink, US assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, made the remarks during a congressional hearing on February 28 morning, Sky News reports.

Based in Beijing and with international headquarters in Luxembourg, Spacety is a space company that specialises in small satellites and satellite-based services.
Earlier this month, Spacety was added to a US trade blacklist.

Spacety has previously said it complied with international sanctions against Russia and maintained no ties with the country after restrictions were imposed.
