Circular defence being prepared in Ukraine’s Volyn near Belarus border

Preparations for a circular defence have begun in settlements near the border with Belarus in Ukraine’s Volyn region.

Head of the Kovel District Administration, Olha Cheren, said that the measures concern border areas, where scenarios including full evacuation are also being considered in the event of a threat along the frontier, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.

Similar circular defence preparations are underway in the Kyiv region, the report added.
