CIS permanent representatives to convene on September 16 ahead of major summits
The Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states is scheduled to hold its next session on September 16, the CIS Executive Committee announced.
The upcoming meeting will focus on finalizing preparations for a series of major diplomatic gatherings, including the sessions of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers, and the Council of Heads of State, Caliber.Az reports.
“In the course of the meeting, the permanent representatives will assess the progress of organizational and agenda-setting work for the forthcoming high-level CIS meetings,” the Executive Committee’s press service noted.
According to the schedule outlined by the Committee, the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government will take place on September 29 in Minsk. In October, Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, will host the sessions of both the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Council of Foreign Ministers.
The meetings are expected to address a broad spectrum of issues, including economic integration, security cooperation, and multilateral diplomatic initiatives within the post-Soviet space.
