Cloudflare outage disrupts access to major platforms worldwide
A widespread internet disruption has affected users across multiple countries following a reported outage involving infrastructure provider Cloudflare.
Monitoring data from outage-tracking services indicated a sharp rise in complaints, with users reporting difficulties accessing or loading a range of online platforms, including social media networks, gaming services and workplace communication tools.
Among the services affected were X, Zoom, Reddit, Fortnite and Discord, with users in more than 70 countries reporting intermittent connectivity issues, broken pages and degraded performance.
According to monitoring platforms, complaint volumes for some services reached tens of thousands within a short period, suggesting a large-scale infrastructure-related incident rather than isolated platform failures.
While the exact cause has not yet been officially confirmed, early indications point to a disruption within Cloudflare’s network, which is widely used by global websites to deliver content, manage traffic and provide security against cyberattacks. Many high-traffic services rely on its systems, meaning outages can have cascading effects across multiple platforms.
Cloudflare has not yet issued a detailed public explanation at the time of reporting. Services are gradually beginning to recover in some regions, though intermittent issues continue to be reported.
