CNN: China prepares potential aid to Iran amid US tensions

Beijing may provide assistance to Iran against the backdrop of its confrontation with the United States, CNN reports, citing sources familiar with the situation.

China could offer financial support as well as supply spare parts and components for missiles. Beijing may consider such a step due to its strong dependence on Iranian oil, according to sources. 

“China is more cautious in its support. It wants the war to end because it endangers their energy supply,” one of the sources familiar said.

The CIA declined to comment on the report.
