CNN: Iran's hits leave 16 US bases across Middle East damaged
Iranian strikes during the recent conflict with the United States and Israel damaged a significant number of US military installations across the Middle East, according to a CNN investigation.
Citing its own findings, CNN reported that “strikes by Iran damaged at least 16 US facilities in eight countries... This is the majority of US military bases in the region.”
According to the report, some of the affected bases sustained such severe damage that they are now largely unfit for continued operations.
A CNN source said Iran employed advanced technologies in the attacks, achieving a high level of precision and speed. The source added that they had “never seen anything like it.”
The report noted that key targets of the Iranian strikes included Boeing E-3 Sentry airborne early warning and control aircraft, as well as radar installations used to monitor the regional security environment.
