CNN: Strike hits Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, causes damage

One of Iran’s largest uranium enrichment centres in Natanz has sustained damage, CNN reports, citing satellite imagery.

According to an analysis of the images, a warehouse and two small two-story buildings were damaged. The structures reportedly served as access points for personnel and vehicles to the underground facilities of the nuclear site in Natanz, the broadcaster said.

On March 2, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi stated that there were no indications of damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

On the same day, Iranian authorities sent a letter to the agency informing it of two strikes carried out by Israel and the United States on the Natanz facility on March 1.
