Cold front from Scandinavia set to bring autumn weather to Ukraine
A cold front moving south from Scandinavia is expected to bring a sharp change in weather conditions across Ukraine from September 21, according to meteorologist Vitaliy Postrigan.
Postrigan said the weather pattern had already begun to change, with more autumn-like conditions expected at the start of next week, Ukrainian media reports.
From September 18 to 20, much of Ukraine is forecast to experience mild and mostly dry weather, with sunny skies and light winds. Conditions are then expected to deteriorate as a cold front linked to a deep Atlantic cyclone moves across the country.
“Attention! On Monday, September 21, the weather will change. A cold front associated with a deep Atlantic cyclone will cross Ukraine, finally bringing the long-awaited rains that farmers so desperately need for the planting season,” Postrigan said.
