Colombia recalls ambassador from Washington After Trump warns on drug crackdown
Colombian authorities have recalled their ambassador to the United States, Daniel García-Peña, for consultations.
The move comes amid comments by U.S. President Donald Trump about potential forceful measures if Bogotá does not intensify its fight against drug production, Caliber.Az reports, citing Colombia’s Foreign Ministry post on X.
The ministry stated that García-Peña is already in Bogotá and that the national government will announce its decisions in the coming hours.
