Commemorative stamp on 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press unveiled in Shusha PHOTO
A special postage stamp marking the 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press was officially unveiled during a ceremonial presentation and cancellation event held in the city of Shusha.
The event took place on the sidelines of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, which brought together leading media professionals, policymakers, and international guests, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Jointly prepared by the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan and the national postal operator Azerpocht, the commemorative stamp was issued to honour the historic and ongoing contributions of Azerbaijani media to the country’s socio-political, cultural, and intellectual development.
The ceremony pointed out that the stamp’s issuance reflects the special role the press has played in shaping public discourse, fostering enlightenment, and supporting the creation of a modern and informed society. The initiative also aims to highlight the media’s role in enhancing Azerbaijan’s international visibility and prestige.
