Construction of DERYA, second-largest ship of Turkish Navy, continues at full speed
Defense Industry President İsmail Demir said that the construction of the Marine Supply Combat Support Ship (DERYA) continues at full speed. When the construction phase of DERYA is completed, it will be the second largest ship of the navy.
A new statement came from the President of the Defense Industry, İsmail Demir, about the second largest ship of the navy, DERYA, TRT Haber reports.
Demir shared the following on his Twitter account:
"The construction of DERYA, which will be the second largest ship of our navy, continues at full speed. We are working hard to ensure that DERYA can be included in the inventory on the 100th anniversary of our Republic, and we are moving forward with firm steps towards 2023."
About DERYA

Within the scope of the project initiated by the Presidency of Defense Industries, DERYA and floating units, whose construction activities are continuing by Sefine Shipyard in Yalova, are provided with fast fuel and water supply , including helicopter fuel, at sea, manned and unmanned surface and underwater vehicles on the ships, It is aimed to support the maintenance and repair of helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a certain level.
It can carry 26 thousand tons.
TCG DERYA has a maximum width of nearly 25 meters. It will be able to reach a speed of 24 knots per hour. With a displacement of 26 thousand tons, it will be able to proceed safely in difficult sea conditions.
