COP29 Azerbaijan, UN mull fight against climate change PHOTO

Mukhtar Babayev, President-Designate of COP29 and Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, has met with Selwin Hart, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General and Assistant Secretary-General of the Climate Action Team.

A post on COP29 X account says that the two officials discussed collaborative efforts to combat climate change and the upcoming initiatives of COP29 aimed at encouraging governments to enhance their climate commitments, Caliber.Az reports.

“The COP29 President-Designate met with Selwin Hart, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General and Assistant Secretary-General of the Climate Action Team, to tackle collective action in the fight against climate change, and how COP29 will aim to enhance ambition for governments to align on climate plans,” the post notes.
