The Presidency’s agenda in London includes high-level engagements with representatives from governments, civil society, and other key stakeholders as part of its broader efforts to galvanize global momentum in the fight against climate change.
As part of its strategic outreach, the COP29 Chairmanship reaffirmed its dedication to ongoing dialogue with both state and non-state actors. This is central to the implementation of the Baku to Belen Roadmap, a flagship initiative launched by Azerbaijan in the lead-up to the COP29 Summit.
The Baku-Belen Roadmap outlines a strategic path to significantly enhance global climate finance, with the goal of mobilizing $1.3 trillion annually by 2030. This initiative aims to address a persistent shortfall in funding for climate mitigation and adaptation, especially for developing nations disproportionately affected by climate change.
