Counter-offensive issue closed for Ukraine, says top official

The question of a counter-offensive by Ukrainian troops is closed and limited, however, the Ukrainians will see when the operation begins, said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

According to him, the Ukrainian leadership does not rule out that with the improvement of the weather, Russian troops may launch an offensive.

However, the Ukrainian military continues to prepare for the liberation of the occupied territories, Danilov said, according to RBC-Ukraine.

Danilov added that the counter-offensive plan is available to a limited number of people, so details about the time and place of the start are closed. He said no more than 3-5 people have such information.

“When it starts, you will see it all. We will understand that what we expected has begun. Where, when - this question is absolutely closed today. Keep that in mind," Danilov said.

He also noted that the supply of weapons to Ukraine has accelerated recently and this factor also affects the preparation for the counter-offensive.
