Multiple cars involved in late crash at F2 Azerbaijan Grand Prix PHOTO / UPDATED

A multiple-car crash occurred toward the end of the Formula 2 Sprint Race at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku on Friday, September 25.

Several cars collided with one another in the closing stages of the race before leaving the track.

The incident caused chaos on the Baku City Circuit as multiple drivers were caught up in the crash.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend will conclude on September 26, with the second Formula 2 Feature Race and the Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for Saturday.

A crash occurred at the start of the Formula 2 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint Race in Baku on Friday.

According to Report, the incident took place on the run toward Turn 2, when Rafael Camara of Invicta Racing made contact with the car of Prema Racing driver Mari Boya.

The collision prompted the deployment of yellow flags.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku will conclude on September 26.
