Cyclist killed, two injured after car plows into group in northern Israel
A tragic traffic accident in northern Israel has left one woman dead and two others injured after a car struck a group of cyclists in the city of Harish.
According to Israeli media, the incident occurred on Saturday, August 2, when a vehicle collided with several cyclists riding together in the northern part of the country.
Emergency responders from the Magen David Adom ambulance service arrived quickly at the scene and attempted to assist a woman estimated to be around 40 years old. However, despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other cyclists sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to a hospital in Hadera. Medical officials reported that one of the injured was in serious condition.
Israeli police have detained the 19-year-old driver involved in the incident for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
